Introduction
Welcome back to our weekly trading update! It’s been another interesting week in the markets as we continue to navigate the ups and downs. The S&P 500 has been moving positively, staying above its 200-day moving average for 240 consecutive days. This long-term momentum keeps our strategy going strong. As always, we’re focusing on optimal stock positioning using the momentum ranking strategy described by Andreas Clenow in ‘Stocks On The Move’.
Buys/Sells
This week, there were no new buys or sells in our portfolio. The absence of new transactions means our current holdings have maintained their places in the top rankings. Our primary sector this week is cash, reflecting our cautious but strategic reserve approach. This allocation allows us to be nimble and responsive in future trading opportunities. Our top holdings include CORT and TPL, alongside our cash reserves.
Summary
In this week’s performance, PLTR emerged as the best-performing stock, gaining 9% over the past seven trading days. CRS, on the other hand, saw a small decline, losing about 2.34% in the same period. Such performance variances are expected and align with our momentum strategy, which prioritizes high-performing stocks while guarding against potential downturns.
In conclusion, this week has been stable with a focus on cash reserves and maintaining our strong performers. As we continue to implement our momentum-based strategy, we keep a watchful eye on market conditions and opportunities for future growth.
