Introduction
As we navigate through election day, our focus remains on systematic trading strategies. Guided by principles from Andreas Clenow’s “Stocks on the Move,” we adhere strictly to our momentum-based system. Our approach involves ranking stocks using an annualized adjusted slope and being vigilant with stop-loss and entry criteria. Notably, the S&P 500 has been trading above its 200-day moving average for 254 days, allowing for some portfolio activity.
Buys/Sells
This week, we sell ERIE and TBBK as they no longer fit our criteria. We introduce APP to the portfolio, benefiting from its promising growth in the digital technology sector, specifically in application design and marketing services. It’s essential to take a proactive approach, ensuring we maintain a dynamic portfolio aligned with momentum strategies.
Summary
Our portfolio currently has a significant share in cash reserves, protecting our capital while waiting for the right opportunities. TPL emerges as our best-performing stock over the past week with a gain, while PLTR, unfortunately, experiences a dip. Staying true to our discipline, we make data-driven decisions, rebalancing as needed.
In conclusion, the week’s activities have allowed us to refine our portfolio, maintaining a vigilant stance on market trends. We steer through uncertainties, marking performance and updating our strategy accordingly. We invite readers to share their insights or raise any questions they may have in the comments below.
