Weekly Trading Recap: Navigating the Market with Precision

This week, our momentum-based trading strategy continues to navigate the financial markets with a steady hand. Leveraging the strategy outlined in Andreas Clenow’s book, ‘Stocks On The Move’, we maintain a disciplined approach, ranking stocks based on their annualized adjusted slope and adjusting our portfolio as needed. The S&P 500, a crucial regime filter in our strategy, remains above its 200-day moving average, now for an impressive 304 days, enabling us to keep our options open for future opportunities.

This week, there were no new buys or sells in our portfolio, but we did choose to rebalance by adding to our position in BILL. We maintain a strong focus on the industrials sector, which represents the largest portion of our portfolio, with significant positions in companies like PAYO, GEV, and AAL. In terms of performance, AGX stands out as the best performer with a 14.27% gain over the past seven trading days. Meanwhile, PAY has been the weakest link, showing a 4.77% loss over the same period.

To conclude, this week’s trading activity was characterized by stability rather than change, with a keen eye on maintaining well-performing positions. While no new trades were initiated, the decision to increase our holdings in BILL underscores our commitment to strategic growth. As always, we invite readers to share their thoughts or questions in the comments below, fostering a community of informed and engaged investors.
