Two stocks left the portfolio and two new companies joined it the last week of 2020.

Last week, I added MLHR to the portfolio. Turns out this was a mistake because MLHR did not meet the buying criteria. They had a gap in excess of 15% in September and I did not notice that. 🤦‍♂️

All in all, there were 4 sells and 4 buys in this week:

In this week two positions had to be sold and one new company joined the portfolio.

DY and GPS gapped down last week, so they had to be sold today. NVDA no longer made it to the top of the list. Read on for the latest rebalancing and the buys of this week.

When I ran the Python code today and updated the momentum ranking for this week, I learned that 8 stocks had to be sold, because they were no longer in the top 20% of the universe. I did not quite expect this and double-checked the calculations in Excel.

The momentum ranking was updated for week 47 of 2020. There were 2 sells and 2 buys, both from the S&P 400:

Exciting times! There is a new President Elect and we had good news about the Covid-vaccine. Tech and all stay-at-home stocks suffered recently. A sector rotation seems to take place as the market looks beyond Covid.

Does that affect our trading in the Trendfollowing portfolio? Not at all, we stick to the plan and follow the rules! There were 3 buys and 3 sells in this week.
