Click here for the Momentum Ranking of week 26.

This week in the market, we’ve seen some flux, particularly in the tecnology sector. The S&P 500 has been holding above its 200-day moving average for 54 days, allowing us to stay active with our portfolio management. With just 2.0% held in cash, we’re nearly fully invested, despite recent market fluctuations.
Portfolio Moves: This week brought a unique situation — we needed to trim some existing positions, which freed up cash for new opportunities. In the realm of technology, particularly in semiconductors, we initiated new positions in ON Semiconductor (ON) and SiTime Corporation (SITM). Both of these companies are active in the semiconductor industry, which continues to be prominent in our momentum ranking. Additionally, we added Centene Corporation (CNC), a health insurer, and SYNNEX Corporation (SNX), a distributor of IT products and services. As for sells, we parted ways with Chord Energy (CHRD) due to its performance in our rankings. We also bolstered existing positions in Coherent (COHR), MasTec (MTZ), and Vertiv (VRT), reflecting our ongoing confidence in these holdings. On the flipside, we reduced our holdings in several stocks like Applied Materials (AMAT) and DocuSign (DOCN).
Weekly Performance: The technology sector shines brightly at the top, frequently driving growth in investor portfolios. Within this sector, companies like Western Digital (WDC) and Seagate Technology (STX) were our top performers, boasting gains of 38.4% and 26.0% respectively. Yet, not all faired well; DigitalOcean (DOCN) saw a dip of 4.9%. Our portfolio outperformed the SPY dramatically this week, with an impressive 11.0% return against the SPY’s -0.43% return. Notably, our top holdings include SNX, Humana (HUM), and CNC. Currently, top-ranked stocks that our model favors but are not yet part of our portfolio include SanDisk (SNDK), Intel (INTC), Dell (DELL), AMD, and Micron (MU).
