Whether you’re an investor or just interested in the stock market, our weekly Momentum Ranking report based on Andreas Clenow’s book Stocks on the Move is a must-read! Click here to access the latest data for week 28 and stay up-to-date on the top performers.

It was an interesting week in the markets with the S&P 500 remaining above its 200-day moving average for 63 days. This consistency allows us to consider adding new positions, and despite a turbulent time for tech and semis, we remain largely invested with a cash share of 6.9%. The current conditions have meant dealing with a tough climate, but hey, that’s investing for you.
This week, we initiated positions in BRKR, FTNT, HIMS, and UNH. BRKR, a key player in the healthcare tech industry, has joined our portfolio. Similarly, FTNT, a cybersecurity leader, and HIMS, known for its telehealth services, have earned spots as well. We’ve also welcomed UNH, a prominent player in health insurance. On the flip side, several stocks, including CIEN, KEYS, SITM, SNDK, STRL, TTMI, and VRT, have been sold to maintain discipline in line with our momentum strategy, as outlined by Andreas Clenow in “Stocks On The Move.” While we had to close some positions this week, we’re holding onto stocks like STX and WDC as their sell criteria haven’t been met yet. We also made adjustments by reducing our holdings in PWR and SNX.
Technology remains the leading sector in our portfolio, continuing its significant role in our investment strategy. Notable names in this space include MRVL, INTC, and AMD. Meanwhile, our top holdings comprise UNH, HUM, and a portion reserved in cash. This week, HUM outperformed with a 4.7% gain, while COHR struggled, falling 17.6%. Despite the overall portfolio’s weekly return at -6.91%, it’s important to note that the S&P 500 (SPY) experienced a positive return of 1.85%. Our model currently favors stocks like MRVL, INTC, and AMD, although they haven’t made it into the portfolio just yet.
